Dr. Harry Keefe: The Month of March Designated as Red Cross Month

Dr. Harry Keefe is a longtime supporter and contributor to the American Red Cross. Beyond his charitable interests, Dr. Harry Keefe serves as a primary care physician in Pueblo, Colorado. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Medicine and the Colorado Academy of Family Medicine.

Since 1943, every United States president has designated the month of March as Red Cross Month, and 2013 is no exception. This year, President Barack Obama declared that the month of March is a time to honor the individuals at the American Red Cross who provide compassion and relief to underserved communities around the world. During this time, the organization is encouraging all of its supporters to join them in honoring the heroes in their communities. Since its inception, the American Red Cross has helped thousands of people around the world by providing disaster relief, safety training, nutritional education, and a national blood program.
